The Very Worst Foodstuff Ever!

By Vanessa Summer

The world is stuffed with food that tastes good and is still incredibly bad for you. While we can acknowledge some of these foods on sight--most of the food you will order at a fast food restaurant, for example, is quite enjoyable to eat but will do terrible things to your body and is made of far too many calories to even be considered healthy. But what about the foods that seem like a perfectly appropriate thing to eat? What about some of the meals you give your kids? In this article we can have a look at a number of the very worst things you could ever feed yourself or your family members.

One of the worst things in the world, surprisingly is a dish of macaroni and cheese. While the produce at home on your own version from Kraft or Annie's is fairly harmless, the mac and cheese you get at a restaurant usually is not. The Kids' Mac and Cheese dinner from California Pizza Kitchen, by way of example is frighteningly bad. Just one particular arrangement of this food holds just about forty grams of saturated fat, over sixteen hundred milligrams of sodium and more than one thousand calories. That seriously isn't even the smallest bit nutritious.

How often have you bought one of those frozen pot pies from the grocery store? On the exterior these appear to be very good, healthy last minute dinners or lunches but the fact is that most of them are loaded with extra calories. The pot pies made by Stouffer's, for example, are packed with virtually eighteen hundred milligrams of sodium, more than sixty grams of fat and more than eleven hundred calories. If you are trying to shed pounds you could wind up eating all of your daily calories with just this one food item!

You are likely under the impression that if you are going to acquire something from a sandwich shop, the vegetarian sandwich is your healthiest option, right? The truth is that a result of dressings as well as other condiments that get added to them, they are often just as bad as something loaded with meat. The vegetarian hoagie from Blimpies, for instance, contains almost twelve hundred calories, sixty grams of fat and more than thirty five hundred milligrams of sodium. How will that ever be considered healthy?

Surely a salad, of all things, has to be wholesome. This is common thought anyway. When we are wanting something wholesome and easy, we usually look for a salad to help fill us up with food that is good for us. You will probably be surprised to read, then, that there are some salads that are quite unhealthy. There are eighteen hundred calories within the Santa Fe chopped salad provided by TGI Fridays. This is most likely because the salad is the size of a big dinner plate but consider it: do you want all of your caloric intake for the day to be used up by this one salad?

The simple fact is that much of the foods that we purchase while we are on the go or from restaurants is just not as good for us as the food that we cook and prepare for ourselves. We understand that you may not be in love with the prospect of cooking food for yourself but the truth is that, specifically when you're trying to lose weight and improve your health, this is the best thing that you can do for yourself.
